Walkers Pitch II

Walkers Pitch II

by Richard Walker

Dick Walker was the greatest angling writer of all time. For 30 years he wrote a weekly column for the world’s best-selling angling newspaper, Angling Times, starting with its launch in July 1953.

Some of his incredibly popular weekly columns were grouped together in book form - Walker’s Pitch - published in 1959. Several reprints followed until Tom O’Reilly and his company, The Little Egret Press, updated the book in 2003.

This new book – Walker’s Pitch II – is a selection of articles from Dick’s Angling Times columns, dating from 1960-1966, again published by The Little Egret Press.

The book will appeal to readers of all generations – the articles contain a wealth of information and entertainment. This is Dick Walker at his best – controversial, challenging, commenting on the burning angling issues, many of which are still relevant today.

This is the man who held the carp record for decades and inspired a generation of specimen hunters; the angler who invented the Arlesey Bomb, the beta-light float and the electronic bite indicator.

This is an open edition of which the first 500 copies are signed by the publisher, and only 30 are in full leather.

The book is fully illustrated with period photographs and line drawings, and is 179 pages long.
